Santa Fe Pro Musica Orchestra
Thomas O’Connor, conductor
Colin Jacobsen, violin

Santa Fe Pro Musica presents a concerto of orchestral favorites in The Lark Ascending. Under the baton of Thomas O’Connor, the Santa Fe Pro Musica Orchestra performs Haydn’s Symphony No. 103 in E-Flat Major “Drum Roll,” joined by acclaimed violinist Colin Jacobsen in performing Vaughan Williams’ ethereal The Lark Ascending and Prokofiev’s moving Violin Concerto No. 2 in G Minor, Op. 63.

Violinist Colin Jacobsen is “one of the most interesting figures on the classical music scene” (Washington Post). Avery Fisher Career Grant-winning soloist and a touring member of Yo-Yo Ma’s famed Silk Road Ensemble, Jacobsen was recently selected from among the nation’s top visual, performing, media, and literary artists to receive a prestigious and substantial United States Artists Fellowship.
