Lannan presents Readings & Conversations, bringing inspired writers of fiction and poetry, as well as advocates of cultural freedom and liberation, to read from and discuss their work.

The Reverend William Barber, pastor at Greenleaf Christian Church and president of the North Carolina chapter of the NAACP, led the Moral Mondays movement of weekly protests and civil disobedience against discriminatory and conservative policies in North Carolina. Barber is the author of The Third Reconstruction: Moral Mondays, Fusion Politics, and the Rise of a New Justice Movement. Khury Petersen-Smith is the Michael Ratner Middle East Fellow at The Institute for Policy Studies in Washington, D.C., where he specializes in US empire, borders, and migration. He coauthored the 2015 “Black Solidarity with Palestine” statement.

Tickets: $8 Adult, $5 Senior/Student.
